Breaking Through Hollow Roller Machining Bottlenecks: TOPKING OGC-1640 CNC Cylindrical Grinder High-Precision Grinding Solution
This video primarily demonstrates how the TOPKING OGC-1640 CNC cylindrical grinder overcomes complex machining challenges to achieve high-precision profile grinding of hollow rollers.
When machining hollow rollers with specific radius profiles, the industry often faces two main difficulties: first, cutting forces easily cause deflection of the workpiece center; second, complex machining shapes significantly accelerate grinding wheel wear. To overcome these issues, the machine introduces three key technologies to stabilize production quality.
For workpiece clamping, the machine utilizes a precision grinding mandrel to hold the hollow roller, complemented by dual steady rests for comprehensive support. This design effectively eliminates deflection during the machining process and significantly suppresses vibration during heavy-duty grinding wheel engagement, maintaining workpiece stability.
To ensure dimensional consistency in batch production, the equipment is equipped with an automatic rotary diamond dresser. This system automatically restores the original profile geometry of the grinding wheel between grinding cycles, ensuring that the tolerance of every finished product accurately meets the standards.
Both the X and Z axes of the machine feature a hydrostatic slideway design. Through fluid film damping characteristics, the slideways achieve a near-zero friction state during operation, thereby absorbing micro-vibrations and providing the worktable with extremely high repeatable positioning accuracy and excellent radial runout control.
